Liberals Extreme Views on Climate Change
Senator Helen Polley today called on the Liberal Candidate for Bass, Steve Titmus, to distance himself from Tony Abbott’s extreme policies and stand up to the Liberal Party extremists.
“Australia is one of the hottest and driest continents on earth – and Australia will be hit hardest and earliest by climate change.
“Mr Abbott is opposed to taking action on climate change.
“Mr Abbott’s call for another delay on the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme is denying that Australia needs to take action on climate change.
“The extremists have taken over the Liberal Party.
“Extremists who deny climate change exists.
“Extremists who want to bring back WorkChoices.
“Mr Abbott recently said the Liberal Party should go back to extreme workplace laws.
“Mr Abbott is out of touch and his extreme policies would hurt Australian families.
“Today I’m calling on Mr Titmusto stand up to the Liberal Party extremists by supporting action on Climate Change and denouncing Mr Abbott’s support for bringing back WorkChoices.
“Mr Abbott’s extreme policies would hurt Australian families and take our country backwards.
“I’ll continue to work hard for families in our community and support the Rudd Government’s action on climate change,” said Senator Polley.
